Aiko Melendez: A time to celebrate blessings at home
Q: How do you plan to celebrate the Christmas season amid the pandemic?
A: Christmas will be simple and focus on my family and partner (Zambales Vice Gov. Jay Khonghun). Bahay lang talaga. I plan to have dinner with my loved ones. My family and I would like to abide by the strict protocol that no parties are allowed. That will be our contribution in helping flatten the COVID-19 curve.
It will be more about reflection on what happened this year. I will list down the things I’m grateful for, because there were still blessings despite and amid the pandemic.
I want to instill in my kids (Andre Yllana and Marthena Jickain) the importance of celebrating our blessings instead of sulking. Before we end the year, I want to have my family … feel some positivity. —ALLAN POLICARPIO and MARINEL CRUZ
