Velasquez’s upcoming show comes a year after her “Unified” concert with fellow singer Sarah Geronimo in the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The said event was held weeks before the Philippines was placed under lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Asia’s Songbird also used her talent to host a three-hour online show last April to raise funds for those in need amid the health crisis. She partnered with Bantay Bata 163, a social welfare program for disadvantaged children, for the effort. Through her concert, Velasquez was able to raise over P4.2 million.
Prior to Velasquez’s 2021 event, Daniel Padilla also staged his digital concert “Apollo” on the same platform last October. /ra
