WATCH: Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid sing ‘The Lord Is Our Savior’ amid community quarantine
Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid performed a duet from their home amid the enhanced community quarantine imposed on the entire island of Luzon.
The couple sang the worship song “The Lord Is Our Savior,” as seen on Alcasid’s Instagram page yesterday, March 18.
He and Velasquez hoped that their duet would inspire their fans and followers “during these very difficult times.” Alcasid also played the piano while the two of them sang.

Their simple performance came two days after Luzon was placed under “enhanced community quarantine” as the Philippines rushes to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. As per Malacañang, “strict home quarantine shall be implemented in all households; transportation shall be suspended; provision for food and essential services shall be regulated; and heightened presence of uniformed personnel to enforce quarantine procedures will be implemented” during the said quarantine.
The Department of Health, as of this writing, has countef 202 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country. Out of the infected patients, seven have recovered. /ra
