Deserving winners in OPM singing tilt

“Winner Marie Joyce Tañaña was truly deserving. Standout ang performance niya—a mix of Marilen Martinez and Dulce. Hindi na n’ya kailangang bumirit. Among the guys, I like Renz Ruther Robosa, who ended up in third place. He could be a balladeer in the mold of Martin Nievera or Ogie Alcasid.

Fleur Sta. Maria, student: “Jennilyn Mercado hasn’t fared well in affairs of the heart, nor with her relationship with her parents—how luckless can you get? But, I like her. She’s strong and tough and doesn’t break down and cry easily. I wish she didn’t talk so much about her breakup with Dennis Trillo, though. As the saying goes, ‘Some things are better left unsaid.’”
