While she’s considered as one of show biz’s most beautiful women today, Ivana Alawi, who’s been dubbed by fans as the new “Pantasya ng Bayan,” admitted that she still has her share of insecurities.

“[It’s my] nose … and height,” the actress-YouTube star said in her recent virtual launch as liquor brand Tanduay’s calendar girl for the year 2021.

Ivana, who stands 5 feet 3 inches “without heels,” related that her height is one of the things her fans are most curious about. “But I can be 5 feet 6 inches to 7 inches with heels!” she quipped. “A lot of people ask me about it, because it’s something I can trick in photos with different angles and poses.”

But just the same, she feels happy and flattered that many people find her sexy. “To be admired means your qualities people feel are worth admiring,” said Ivana, whose personal definition of “sexy” is “loving and being yourself.”

“But of course, I still want to be known as an actress,” added Ivana, who was last seen in the drama series “Sino ang Maysala?: Mea Culpa” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

For Ivana, a modern calendar girl is someone “strong and independent.” “I’m honored to be chosen as the new calendar girl … not everyone gets the chance.”

The 23-year-old celebrity was thrilled to see the photos, which were shot by renowned photographer Mark Nicdao. “I have always loved boudoir-themed shots, something sexy, but still elegant and beautiful. It’s a dream come true to work with him,” Ivana said. “Doing this was a super dream come true for me. I’m so proud and happy with the shots.”

Aside from her looks and her entertaining vlogs, Ivana is also known for her charitable efforts —the most recent of which was the relief operations she organized for those affected by Typhoon “Ulysses” last month.

“She embodies the modern calendar girl—strong, hardworking and has a heart for helping others,” Tanduay executive Paul Lim said.
