Former Kapamilya talents Alec Duñgo and Angeli Gonzales are now doctors after passing the 2020 physician licensure exam.
Results of the board exam were released by the Professional Regulation Commission today, Nov. 26.
Duñgo, a “Pinoy Big Brother” alum from the 2012 series, celebrated his success on Instagram.
“To God be the glory!!! We made it! Thankful for everyone who made this dream possible,” he said.

The registered pharmacist thanked family, friends and mentors from the University of Santo Tomas for his achievement. Duñgo graduated with honors from UST’s med school in April 2019.
Gonzales also announced her accomplishment on Instagram. “Finally #LicensedtoHeal,” she said.

The actress graduated from the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute’s medical school in June 2019.
Gonzales starred in teen comedy series “Luv U,” “Maalaala Mo Kaya” and “Wansapanataym” in her younger years. Besides becoming a doctor, she is also a registered medical transcriptionist and medical laboratory scientist.
After finishing med school, she credited her time in show biz for teaching her “to be confident, to be strong, and to be independent,” all of which she brought to her career in medicine. /ra
