Angel Locsin and her fellow members of the group Aktor (League of Filipino Actors) are calling for donations to help those in need after the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.
“Aktors giving back,” Locsin said on her Instagram page earlier today, Nov. 13 alongside the organization’s announcement.
“Karamay ninyo po kami, sa anumang oras,” she assured the public. “Sa suporta’t pagmamahal na ibinigay ninyo po sa amin, hindi po namin kayo pababayaan.”
(We are with you at all times. [For] the support and love you have given us, we will not leave you.)
The actors’ group is seeking face masks, clean water, medicine, blankets, clothes and canned food, among others. In-kind donations should be brought to Taumbayan, 40 T. Gener cor. K1st in Barangay Sacred Heart, Kamuning, Quezon City starting today.
Meanwhile, those who want to send monetary donations may transfer them to the following bank accounts of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Caritas Pilipinas Foundation:

Along with the CBCP and Caritas Philippines, Aktor has also teamed up with Dingdong Dantes’s YesPinoy Foundation and the Andrew’s Fund PH for the donation drive.
Locsin then took the time to thank all of the government agencies and rescue teams who have helped those in need when the storm ravaged parts of Luzon. She also expressed her gratitude for the news organizations and wished them safety.
Following its onslaught, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) stated that the typhoon has already weakened into a severe tropical storm and is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility this morning. NVG
