As Typhoon Ulysses battered parts of Luzon, Vice Ganda experienced the wrath of the storm while in Balesin Island.

The island, home to a luxury resort, is located off the eastern coast of Luzon.  The “It’s Showtime” host happened to be on vacation there with his partner Ion Perez and friends.

“Last night was ‘delubyo’ (disaster) levels here in Balesin,” recalled the comedian on Twitter.

He said they had to evacuate villas twice. The first was because villas were getting destroyed, with trees crashing around them. When they got to another villa, it had no electricity and water so they had to move to another one.

“Mejo [kalmado] na ngayon. Salamat sa Diyos (It’s calmer now. Thank God)!” he said.

Videos on his Instagram Stories showed the trees bending against the strong winds.

Signal No. 3 was declared as Typhoon Ulysses ravaged Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon. Though the typhoon weakened today, Nov. 12, Pagasa warned that rains could continue in Luzon and Visayas. JB
