Kris Aquino revealed that she has had another COVID-19 scare after one of her drivers contracted the novel coronavirus, although her family has tested negative.

While the driver does not personally drive Aquino’s car, he picks up and brings home Bimby’s homeschooling teacher and other members of Aquino’s team, she disclosed on Instagram earlier today, Nov. 7.

“November 3 we all had PCR testing because [I] was supposed to do a TVC shoot Nov 5… Testing was done in the morning,” the Queen of All Media shared.

“8 PM when my sons, my whole team, and [I] (we’re quarantining together until the 12th when this batch of commitments will finish) got an urgent message: 1 of our drivers tested positive for [COVID-19],” she added.

Aside from not being her personal driver, however, he does not stay where Aquino and her team are currently living at.

Aquino also noted how she has already gone through a similar COVID-19 scare back in August and September, although “this time, dumami ang involved (many more are involved) [sad emoji].”

She noted that her shoot in early November did not push through because of the situation while she and her team underwent rapid antigen testing on Nov. 5, of which the results came back negative.

“That evening my dry cough started, accompanied by a sore throat and headache. [I] slept early and told myself, everyone would be in full PPE & N95 masks – kakayanin namin (we can do it),” Aquino explained. “[I] woke up still coughing, with sinus congestion, a persistent headache and fatigue. We did my hair & makeup & proceeded to the studio.”

“It was there that [I] started to lose my voice because of the nonstop coughing & my BP had gone up to 150/100,” she added.

Aquino then commended the brand, which she did not disclose, for being “compassionate” as they understood the situation and did not force her to continue shooting the commercial.

“Since I also produce, alam ko kung anong expense ang involved dahil hindi tinuloy yung shoot. Kaya nga pinipilit kong wag ma packup… Pero nag desisyon silang i-prioritize ang health ko at LAHAT ng mga katrabaho ko,” she explained.

(Since I also produce, I know how not pushing through with the shoot costs. That is why I initially urged them to not pack up, but they decided to prioritize the health of all my co-workers and myself.)

Yesterday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m., Aquino and her team all underwent swab testing. Thankfully, all the results came back negative.

“[Hindi] ako makatulog waiting for the results… Thank You God – for now ok kami. November 10, one more test para totally CLEARED na ang Team Kris,” she noted. (I could not sleep waiting for the results. Than You God – for now were are okay. On Nov. 10, we will undergo one more test so Team Kris can get totally cleared.)

Aquino’s post came with a screenshot of her conversation with her doctor, whose name was withheld, and told her, “Thanks be to God negative kayong lahat (you all tested negative). Sending your results now.”

“Thank you [doctora]. Now [I] can sleep,” Aquino replied.

Despite the good results, Aquino stressed she continues to pray that she only has sinusitis, cough and laryngitis and not the novel coronavirus.

“To be safe, naka isolate pa rin ako from my sons. [I’m] keeping myself well hydrated, naka bed rest, at ang challenge for me – total vocal rest,” she said. (To be safe, I am still isolated from my sons. I’m keeping myself well hydrated, in bed rest and the challenge for me – total vocal rest.)

“God bless all of us w/ the FAITH & fortitude to survive this pandemic,” Aquino added. JB
