LOOK: KathNiel, LizQuen, fellow celebs prove that a pandemic can’t cancel Halloween

The coronavirus pandemic and stormy weather have no doubt put a damper on Filipinos’ moods this Halloween season.

However, some celebrities still worked up their creativity and imagination to pull off costumes that they flaunted on social media rather than in grand Halloween bashes.

From terrifying zombies to childhood cartoon characters, here are some of the looks that brought life to Halloween 2020.

Nguya squad

The Nguya squad — which includes Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Gabbi Garcia, Khalil Ramos, Ria Atayde and Pat Sugui — had the boys and girls compete with one another for best costume this year.

The girls opted for haunting corpse bride looks, as seen in photos of Bernardo and Garcia.

Meanwhile, the boys of the squad went all out in their horrific costumes as zombies.

Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil

Couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, who are currently in the United States, went for “last-minute” costumes as “Scooby-Doo” characters Velma and Fred.

Enchong Dee

Enchong Dee had half his face disfigured — with prosthetics — to achieve his look as Batman villain Two-Face.

Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo

Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo went for gender-bending costumes as “Tiger King” stars: zookeeper Joe Exotic and conservationist Carole Baskin.

Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin

Teen stars Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin channeled Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes in “Romeo + Juliet.”

Indeed, as Gabbi Garcia said, Halloween is not canceled. JB
