The search for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 may be over, but some candidates prove that winning is not just about the crown.

A few contestants have become instant viral sensations on social media, thanks to their relatable and authentic responses when it came to the preliminary interview.

Miss Manila Alexandra Abdon was a show stealer as she chatted with the panel candidly, and was honest about the fact that the cold of Baguio City did bother her.

“Pinapatay ko ang aircon kanina, wala palang aircon (I was asking for the aircon to be turned off but it turns out there is no aircon),” she quipped, as seen on a tweet by one @markgeronimo_, Oct. 23.

Deveza drew attention for the way she gave serious responses, after which she would quickly become informal.

“Tapos na ‘yon? Wait lang may sasabihin pa!” she said after being unable to finish her introduction, where she recalled a story about her grandfather.
