Musician couple KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde revealed that they have already tied the knot aptly through a music video featuring their intimate ceremony in Batangas.
Tandingan and Monterde, who have been engaged since December 2019, turned out to have already wed on Aug. 28 at The Farm at San Benito in Lipa, Batangas.
The music video for the couple’s new duet “Can’t Wait to Say I Do,” which gives fans a peek at the special day, premiered yesterday, Oct. 8, on YouTube. All proceeds from the video will be donated to Inspire Chruch Metro.
As the wedding was held amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the newlyweds clarified in the video that the venue they chose “provides a COVID-free environment.”
“Everyone involved underwent a series of COVID-19 testings and were cleared before entry as we complied responsibly with all the strict guidelines,” they added.
Tandingan also took to Instagram yesterday to open up on their wedding, noting that it was “bittersweet” to not have their parents with them on their special day.
“God finally made our ‘Puhon’ a reality. With only a handful of people and our families attending through zoom, we held our symbolic wedding under a 300 hundred-year-old Mango tree,” Tandingan said.
“We didn’t think we could get married this year because our families are in Mindanao and couldn’t fly in. But our folks being the selfless, understanding, and amazing parents they are, encouraged us to get wed,” she added.
Tandingan noted that her “other dad”—musician and the couple’s wedding godparent, Martin Nievera—took the place of her father by walking her down the aisle.
“Thankful for friends who went out of their way to do multiple testings, isolation, and travel to be with us on our special day. Thankful for all these hard-working people who made sure our intimate dream wedding went smooth and, most importantly, safe,” the singer stressed.
Tandingan and Monterde have been together since January 2015. The two made headlines last January when fans thought they have already wed after releasing photos of them in wedding attires, which turned out to have only been for an engagement shoot. /ra
