For Andrea, Derek is worth the wait
I will take care of him well. And I will not tire of taking care of him.”
That was Andea Torres’ vow to her boyfriend, Derek Ramsay, who recently revealed that he’s ready to take their relationship to the next level—this despite persistent talks that he simply isn’t “the marrying type.”
“Taking care of someone goes beyond physically looking after him … It also entails taking care of a person’s trust, and cherishing that person’s love for me. And he knows that,” the GMA 7 actress said in a recent virtual conference.
Andrea, whose romance with Derek went public last year, said they have been enjoying their relationship.
“The relationship is very steady. We’re doing well in every aspect, no matter what angle you look at it from. Even our respective parents and families are happy for us. It feels good waking up in the morning and knowing that you don’t have to deal with any negativity,” she said.

One of Andrea’s realizations is that patience pays off. “I had been single for a long time, so I feel that this is worth it. It’s worth it not to force things. Waiting was worth it,” she said.
