MANILA, Philippines — Gabby Concepcion’s daughter, beauty queen Cloie Syquia Skarne is now engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Frederik Hill.
“We are engaged!” Cloie wrote in her Instagram post on Thursday, where she shared a photo of herself kissing her fiancé.
According to the engagement announcement posted on Cloie’s Instagram page, she and Frederik, who was born in Sweden, have been together since 2015.
Cloie’s mother, Filipino-American Swedish model Jenny Syquia, likewise shared the good news on her Facebook page.
“They’re engaged! Beyond happy for Cloie and Fredrik!,” Jenny said.
“He is an absolute gentleman, intelligent and kind, and loves our daughter very much! Two beautiful souls have found each other!” the model mused about Frederik.
Gabby and Jenny were married in 1993 and had daughter Cloie in 1994. The couple’s marriage ended in annulment in 1996.
Jenny is now married to Filip Skarne. Cloie, meanwhile, had adopted her stepfather’s surname.
Cloie, who is also the half-sister of KC Concepcion, was crowned as the first runner-up in the Miss Universe Sweden pageant in 2018.
