LOOK: Angel Locsin helps in packing, distributing food for LSIs in Manila

Angel Locsin recently assisted a carinderia’s efforts to donate food to locally stranded individuals (LSIs) in Tondo, Manila.

The actress and her “Iba ‘Yan” team worked with Heaven’s Touch Cuisine in Sampaloc, Manila by packing and distributing food.

The restaurant is run by the Piadoche family, which has been organizing food drives during the coronavirus pandemic, including the effort Locsin participated in.

Heaven’s Touch shared a picture of Locsin with the packs of food yesterday, Aug. 24, via Facebook. It said that 300 packs of pancit and siomai rice for LSIs in North Port were prepared.

Nanay Gay, who has been running the carinderia, will soon be featured in Locsin’s show “Iba ‘Yan,” Heaven’s Touch announced on Saturday, Aug. 22.

Though Heaven’s Touch has been among the businesses hit during the pandemic, it has been supporting medical frontliners and LSIs with food drives.

Over the years, Heaven’s Touch has been a go-to for students, especially those in nearby University of Santo Tomas, thanks to its budget-friendly meals and the kindness of Nanay Gay.  /ra
