Donita Nose has finally gone home from hospital confinement after surviving the new coronavirus disease.

The comedian showed how the medical workers clapped and cheered her as she left the hospital, as seen on her Instagram page last Wednesday, Aug. 12.

“Thank you to all the FRONTLINERS,” she said. “[A]lam ko ang hirap at sakripisyo nyo (I acknowledge your hardships and the sacrifices).”

The “Wowowin” co-host also reminded the healthcare staff to take care of themselves.

“Saludo ako sa inyong lahat!” she said. “Salamat sa pag aalaga sa aming lahat.”

(I salute you all. Thank you for taking care of us all.)

The TV host shared on Aug. 1 that she was getting better and stronger after testing positive for coronavirus, as seen on her Facebook page.

She then thanked her supporters and loved ones for offering prayers and helping her while she was in the hospital.

In relation to the stigma attached to the disease, the comedian requested others to show more compassion to those who have tested positive for the virus and avoid treating them with antipathy.

On July 24, Donita announced that she was at the hospital after experiencing fever, headache, diarrhea and difficulty in breathing.

She was also diagnosed with pneumonia.

Even before the results of her swab test confirmed that she had the virus, Donita said “feeling ko naman talaga it’s COVID (I really feltl like it was COVID.)”

Meanwhile, a healthier and blooming Donita once again went live via social media last Thursday, Aug. 13, to formally express her gratitude to everyone who helped her by sending monetary support, food and other gifts.

Some of the people that the comedian thanked included Raffy Tulfo and his family and the hospital staff at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Donita is one of the few celebrities who tested positive for the coronavirus, including Iza Calzado, Christopher de Leon, Sylvia Sanchez and Michael V.  /ra
