WATCH: Jane De Leon releases own ‘How You Like That’ dance cover
Jane De Leon treated fans with her own take on the iconic choreography of K-pop hit “How You Like That” by South Korean girl group Blackpink.
Although De Leon’s dance cover came a little late, the actress clarified that it is not an entry for the recently concluded dance cover contest for the K-pop banger.
“This is my own version of ‘HYLT.’ Our concept was to approach this project not only as a dance cover but more so as a music video,” De Leon said of the cover, which premiered on her YouTube channel yesterday, July 31.
“Thank you to the awesome team who made this vision possible!!” she added.
De Leon wowed fans as she showed off her dance skills in the aesthetically pleasing video, which has so far gained around 32,00o views.
The music-video-like dance cover also featured different locations that went with the dancer’s several outfit changes.
Dancer AC Bonifacio, meanwhile, recently won second place for her own “How You Like That” dance cover, for which she is slated to receive 6 million Korean won (or around P245,900).
Blackpink has earned five Guinness World Record titles with the music video for “How You Like That,” including being the most viewed video, music video and K-pop video on YouTube in 24 hours.
The said music video is also the fastest video ever on YouTube to reach 100 million views with the record time of only 32 hours, according to YG Entertainment. /ra
