‘Gaguhan 2020’: Kean Cipriano slams handling of coronavirus crisis
Kean Cipriano expressed his dismay on how the coronavirus crisis is being handled in the country as the State of the Nation Address (SONA) is set to be delivered today.
The musician and actor was among the people online who fumed at the crowded conditions of locally stranded individuals (LSIs) at the Rizal Memorial stadium in Manila, giving his own commentary on the management of the pandemic in a tweet yesterday, July 26.
“Nag lockdown at Quarantine ng ilang buwan. Hinuli mga tao na ‘hindi daw’ sumusunod sa quarantine protocols. (Pero hindi hinuli yung mga nasa posisyon na lumabag kasi daw VIP),” he observed. “Tapos di daw alarming yung dumadami na cases. Tapos eto… haaay! Gaguhan 2020!”
(Lockdown and quarantine imposed for how many months. People who were supposedly not following quarantine protocols were caught. (But those with positions who made violations were not caught because they are supposedly VIPs.) Then they said the rise in cases is not alarming. Then this… haaay! B*llshit 2020!)
He questioned what “the plan” is, as many continue to suffer in the pandemic, as per another tweet yesterday, stating, “I never felt secure. It never felt safe.”

Ang daming nagkakasakit. Ang daming namamatay. Ang daming nawawalan ng trabaho. Ang daming nagsasara na negosyo.
Ang daming nagaaway. Ang daming kasinungalingan. Ang daming excuses.
Ano ba talagang plano? #ItoAngSONAko

(So many falling sick. So many dying. So many losing their jobs. So many closing down their businesses. So many fighting. So many lies. So many excuses. What is the plan, really?)
Cipriano is among the artists who will perform today at “Tinig ng Bayan: SONAgkaisa online concert” from 3 to 6 p.m. which will stream on the Facebook page of Radyo Katipunan 87.9. JB
