MANILA, Philippines — As the world race against time to find a vaccine that can help stop the further spread of coronavirus, economies around the world, including in the Philippines, are adapting to health protocols that would help minimize the transmission of COVID-19, but despite all of these, another problem arises–the deadly downward turn in terms of profitability and sustainability of various businesses.

One such industry that is deeply impacted by the ill economic effects of COVID-19 is the country’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), considered as “the backbone” of the economy, which also affected thousands of jobs generated by these enterprises. These MSMEs are now facing a harsh reality where more and more businesses succumb at a rapid pace by the ongoing effects of the pandemic.

As this developed, CloudPanda one of the country’s reputable information technology company, steps in to lend that much needed boost to help our MSMEs survive the damaging economic backlash of the global health crisis.

The Buyanihan movement official MTV with Mr. Gary V. sings the line that highlights the message of hope “PWEDE PANG MANGARAP” for all MSMEs affected by the economic slump brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

CloudPanda felt the need to aid the country’s MSMEs as part of its corporate social responsibility, partnering with the Association of Filipino Franchise Inc. (AFFI) to help save businesses. This is by way of developing and providing a free E-commerce online store, without the need for our MSMEs to invest or spend, just to have their own operational E-commerce platform.

Tix Laurel of Goto King said that they supposed to have celebrated their 36 years in the market but because of the pandemic, business suddenly went downhill. Determined not to be part of the 40% who will not succeed, she vows to fight the negative economic effects of the pandemic for the Filipino people.

This partnership led to the development of an E-commerce program where MSMEs can sell their products, do business, save jobs and earn profit online, dubbed as the “BUYanihan movement.”

Jorge Wieneke of Tokyo Tempura said that he realized that we need to fight and we need to do something in order to survive.

The BUYanihan movement offers MSMEs a place or a non-traditional approach of selling their products with a much, much wider market reach through CloudPanda’s free E-commerce online store website; www.buyanihan.shop that enable its online sellers to reach customers, selling their products online as a better alternative of doing business under the “new normal.”

CloudPanda believes that we can make our economy run again and we can help support our MSMEs survive the negative economic effects of the pandemic by buying their products online through the www.buyanihan.shop E-commerce platform.

For more information on how you can buy the products our MSMEs offer, please visit www.buyanihan.shop and together little by little, in a collective small effort, we can help save the economy.
