Mon Confiado shared with fans the first stills from the upcoming South Korean adventure-crime flick “The Golden Holiday,” in which the veteran actor will be appearing.
Confiado took to Facebook yesterday, July 10, to share the said photos, which included one that shows him bloodied and beat up while donning a Philippine police uniform.
“The Golden Holiday,” produced by Showbox Entertainment Corp., was directed by Kim Bong-han, who is known for films “Can You See Me?” and “Ordinary Person,” among others.
Confiado is joined by actors Kwak Do-won, Kim Dae-myung, Kim Hee-won, Kim Sang-ho, Shin Dong-mi and Lee Yoo-jin-Ito.
The film tells the story of a detective’s supposed family trip to the Philippines that turned into an investigation of a local murder involving “Yamashita’s Gold.”
“A laid-back countryside detective Byung-su (Kwak Do-won) takes his family to the Philippines for his 10th wedding anniversary. In fact, his hidden agenda is to track down his old friend Yong-bae (Kim Sang-ho) who scammed him and got away a few years ago. In Manila, Byung-su finds Yong-bae in prison for murder, and hears about the case surrounding ‘Yamashita’s Gold.’ Swayed by a share of the Gold that Yong-bae offers, Byung-su suddenly becomes embroiled in the case,” the synopsis read.
“The Golden Holiday” is set to hit South Korean theaters this year, but an exact date has yet to be announced. The Philippine release date has also not been revealed as of this writing. /ra
