Actress Ara Mina is making sure officers manning various checkpoints in Quezon province are well-nourished. She did so by recently distributing food packs to them while quarantine measures are still in place due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Mina said that she and her team tested negative for the coronavirus before they handed out the food to the frontliners. The actress also cited the non-profit organization Goodwill Heart Foundation in the initiative, as seen on her Instagram post yesterday, July 8.
The food was prepared by a local restaurant in Lucban, Quezon, together with some of Mina’s good friends.
The actress and her team visited several checkpoints, including the checkpoint in Luisiana, Laguna to Lucban, Quezon; the Lucban to Tayabas checkpoint; and the checkpoint from Tayabas to Lucena.
Mina has been busy helping out those in need during the health crisis. She previously donated a truckload of rice to the communities in Quezon City, Rizal, Caloocan, Laguna and Angeles city in Pampanga. Through Goodwill Heart Foundation, Mina handed out chocolate and milk drinks to children in Caloocan and Malabon. She has also donated personal protective equipment to several hospitals inside and outside of Metro Manila. JB
