‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’
Should OPM classics be revived? Not if Proficient Songstress (PS) can have it her way.
During a get-together to celebrate one of PS’ milestones, a nosy reporter asked her what she thought of Groundbreaking Singer’s (GS) cover of her hit song.
Alas, the relevant question seemed to have struck a raw nerve. Yes, the revival was also a hit with music aficionados, but it’s a version that has more “birit” than reverence to the original tune.
When PS finally gained her composure, she quipped without batting an eyelash, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Lagot!
