Actress Heart Evangelista once again clarified that she is not interested in entering politics.

“Politics is not for me. I can help without that kind of power,” Evangelista said on Twitter yesterday, July 1. Evangelista is married to Sorsogon governor Chiz Escudero.

The actress addressed the question of whether or not she will eventually run for office by responding to a netizen’s post. A certain @fudgeeBarNamanO posted a screengrab of Evangelista’s Instagram Stories on Twitter, stating, “Hoping [Heart Evangelista won’t] enter politics.”

Evangelista has been aiding citizens in Sorsogon, as seen on her Instagram Stories yesterday.

Evangelista launched her project “Big Heart PH” yesterday as well via Instagram. The initiative targets to give students free tablets and data for the government-proposed “blended learning” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“What once started as a small project on Twitter has now turned into one of [the] biggest blessings this year,” she said.

“Through this project, we aim to provide students the proper tools they need so they do not stop learning and educating themselves despite the current pandemic situation of our country,” Evangelista added.

The actress previously sold her painting to buy 550 tablets for students who have online classes.

Evangelista has been saying no to entering politics for years now. In 2016, after Escudero ran for the Vice President position and lost, Evangelista rejected the idea of entering politics by citing that it is “very messy” and saying she was “okay with what I have.” JB
