Pops Fernandez sees blessings instead of pain in marking wedding anniversary with ex Martin Nievera

Pops Fernandez expressed gratitude to fans who took time to commemorate her wedding anniversary with Martin Nievera yesterday, June 28.
“I woke up this morning and I was tagged in countless videos… oh it’s June 28!!! Hehehe thank you to all who still remember this day,” she said on Instagram, sharing one of the fan videos that featured clips of her and Nievera back when they were still a couple.

“It used to pain me to remember this day but now it helps me realize all the blessings and wonderful memories I am thankful for,” Fernandez admitted. “[N]ow, @martinnievera and I will always share this day with the ones who never forget….. happy June 28!!!!”
She also thanked fans for their continued support.
“Thank you that even with our imperfections, you still love us. you have witnessed us fall in love…. fall apart …. mend our wounds … and yes, grow up….” she said. “May this day bring a whole new meaning to love.”
Fernandez and Nievera got married in June 1986. They have two children, Robin and Ram. Following years of ups and downs in their relationship, the marriage was annulled in 2000.

Despite not making it to forever as husband and wife, the king and queen of the concert scene have remained friends over the years. They have also staged concerts together locally and abroad even after ending their marriage.
In terms of their personal lives, the singers have a modern family set up, spending time together not only with their sons but also with Santino, Nievera’s son with ex-girlfriend Katrina Ojeda, and Nievera’s girlfriend Anj. JB
