After being asked about her upcoming album, Adele told an inquisitive fan to “be patient” for new music while stressing that the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over.

A fan speculated that the British singer was hinting at new songs after Adele posted a photo of herself singing with a microphone on her Instagram page yesterday, June 27. Adele did not say anything about the picture and instead only included a smiling emoji in her post.

An excited fan (@meeralsm) could not help but wonder what the singer had meant with her post and quickly thought it was connected to an upcoming record.

“Teaser? Albums coming out today???!!!!,” the Instagram user asked. “Tell me now!!!!”

However, Adele immediately shut down the speculation.

“@meeralsm of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining,” she said. “Wear a mask and be patient [heart emoji].”

Prior to the quarantine measures imposed due to the coronavirus, Adele revealed that she will be releasing a new album this September. She made the announcement last February when she officiated the wedding of her friend, author Laura Lee Dockrill to former The Maccabees singer Hugo White.

The singer has not released a full-length album since her third effort “25” in 2015. The record earned her five Grammy Awards in 2016, including album of the year and best pop vocal album. Some of Adele’s most famous hits include “Someone Like You”, “Rolling in the Deep” and “Set Fire to the Rain”. JB
