Kiray Celis opened up to fans on how heartbroken she was when she first met her non-showbiz boyfriend Stephan Estopia, who turned out to have just gotten off a bad relationship as well.

The comedienne shared the story of how her boyfriend changed her perception of men for the better through, as seen on her Twitter thread last Tuesday, June 23.

“Nung nagkakilala kami, parehas kaming wasak. Ako pinagpalit. Siya niloko ng [paulit-ulit],” Celis recalled. (When we first met, we were both broken. I was replaced. He was made a fool again and again.)

Lahat manloloko. Walang hindi. Pero nung nakilala kita, lahat yun nagbago. Hindi naman pala lahat pare pareho. Depende rin sa tao,” Celis addressed her boyfriend in the following tweet.

(Back then, I saw all men as cheaters. No one was exempted. But when I met you, everything changed. It turned out that not all men are the same. It depends on the person.)

Celis then talked about how Estopia also gave his trust to the wrong person, who made a fool out of him several times.

Ang tawag dun pananamantala,” she said.

(He, meanwhile, gave his trust several times. But it was all for nothing. Because it is no longer just a mistake if someone does it again and again. That is called abuse.)

(People who gave their all to those who do not know how to be content, and no matter what you do, you will never be enough for them. People who will never see you as the right one. Because they will always look for others who have what you lack.)

(And because the world is round, just after we got hurt and cried for the wrong people, it turned out to be the right time for us to meet the right person.)

The actress also told fans that after they meet the right person, he or she will eventually help them heal and will reciprocate their love.

(All your sorrows will be replaced with joy. All your sufferings will turn into comfort. All because you are finally with the right person.)

Celis also apologized to her social media followers for her and Estopia’s frequent posts about each other; she explained that they both deserve it after all they went through with their exes.

HAHAHAHAHA! Deserved namin to!” she said in another tweet on the same day.

(We are just proud of each other. I know nothing is really sure for now as we are not yet married. But we both came from relationships with people who are not proud of us. People who could not be proud of us because they were hiding many things. [Laughter] We deserve this!)

Celis first introduced Estopia to the public back in December 2019, when she opened up to fans that she has finally felt what it is like to be truly loved. JB
