Johnny Depp reprised his role as Captain Jack Sparrow from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” to surprise patients at a children’s hospital through a video call.
The actor wore his popular costume during the live video call with three children at Queensland Children’s Hospital in Australia. The center put together the initiative with Juiced TV, which streamed the whole chat on Facebook last Friday, June 19.

“I’m with all of you and I send you all my love, all my irreverence and ignorance, because it’s fun to be irreverent and ignorant. Thank you for sticking with me through all these very strange years,” Depp added.
The actor also stated that the call with the three patients “is one of the finest and most beautiful experiences that [he has] ever experienced.”
“And that is because of all of your commitment to this project and to also just taking care of one another, to helping out when times are curious and confusing,” he added.
Depp also took the time to thank the healthcare workers at the facility, whom he described as “absolute heroes.”
Depp first appeared as the popular Captain Jack Sparrow in the first film of the series titled “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,” in which he starred alongside Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. /ra
