LOOK: Karla Estrada compares Daniel Padilla to great grandfather Jose, former Bulacan governor
Actress Karla Estrada treated fans with a look at her children’s great grandfather Jose Padilla Sr., a former governor of Bulacan, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Daniel.
Estrada took to Instagram earlier today, June 10, to share side-by-side photos of Daniel and his great grandfather. Jose was both an actor and a governor who held office from 1928 to 1931 and 1934 to 1937.
(Now we know where my sons Daniel and Jose Carlito got their being compassionate, principled, helpful and with a heart for others.)

Estrada’s post also came with a few screenshots from a Wikipedia entry on the former Bulacan governor, whose children have become notable personalities in show business and politics.
The doting mother likewise compared her daughter Magui to her great grandmother, Carmen Planas, who was known as “Manila’s Darling” back then.
(Momshies, do you know where my daughter Magui got her beauty and intelligence? Well, other than from me, it looks like she inherited these from her great grandmother.)
Bongga!” she added.

Go, Magui!” Estrada stressed.
(An ideal lawyer and a politician who has served the country. What else would you want? My only wish is that for the next generation, I hope Magui will be able to follow the footsteps of her grandmother Carmen. Go, Magui!)
The post also came with screenshots from the Wikipedia entry on Planas, which Estrada urged fans to read, saying, “Nakakaproud maging BABAE!” (It makes me proud to be a woman.)
Estrada and her family recently celebrated Magui’s graduation from senior high school in the comfort of their own home, amid quarantine restrictions due to COVID-19. JB
