Liza Soberano cites ‘genuine fear of the virus’ in cancellation of ‘Make It with You’
Liza Soberano has spoken up on the cancellation of “Make It with You,” her teleserye with love team partner and boyfriend Enrique Gil. She cited the coronavirus pandemic as one of the main considerations in dropping the show.
“I’m sorry we won’t be able to give our audience the ending they deserve,” she said on Instagram yesterday, June 9, where she shared pictures of the cast on set.

“Thank you so much for embarking on the journey of Billie and Gabo. It breaks my heart to confirm that we will no longer be coming back to air.”
“I know a lot of you are upset and looking for answers and the only explanation I can give you is genuine fear of the virus,” she said. “When we were asked to resume taping on June 13, many of us had hesitations.”

I consulted my family, my managers, and the team and we all came to an agreement that it might be for the best to not continue with the show anymore.”

The show, which was shot partially in Croatia, featured Gil as Gabo, a businessman poised to take over his family’s empire, and Soberano as Billy, a strong-willed girl from the province who helps care for her family after her mom died.
Director Theodore Boborol explained on Twitter last Friday that other TV shows will go back on air via a new ABS-CBN channel because “the returning dramas have multiple episodes already in the can even before the pandemic hit.” /ra
