Actress Yassi Pressman is raising funds to feed families in need amid the COVID-19 crisis, through the campaign “Stay Safe Together.”
Pressman’s initiative gathers monetary donations in exchange for a “Stay Safe Together” bracelet. The actress said that one bracelet feeds one family, as per her Instagram post yesterday, June 8.
The campaign aims to “spark hope and support the most vulnerable communities who got affected by the COVID-19 pandemic across the country.” It provides food packs to these communities with the help of the youth volunteer organization, Be the Juan PH.
Those who are interested in making a donation may visit its website.
According to Stay Safe Together, Be the Juan PH had successfully aided farmers in Iloilo and urban poor families in Tondo. All proceeds from the initiative will be given to Be the Juan PH, to help the initiative continue its efforts.
The initiative offers several packages, with a minimum donation of P500 (one bracelet) and up to P5,000 (five bracelets plus a letter and website recognition). The campaign has fed 1,422 families, as of this writing. It has also had 1,024 donors and has sold 1,523 bracelets.
Pressman is one of the many actors who has spearheaded or supported fundraising campaigns for those who are greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, Bela Padilla, Bea Alonzo and more.
