Our movie marathon during quarantine makes us feel like we are jurors for the best picture of 2020. If binge-watching were an Olympic sport, we would be gold medalists. Ah! What quarantine can do.
For the last part of my “QuaranSine/QuaranFilms” series, another batch of celebs share their flick picks.
All the Covid-19-related stories would make good movie material. In fact, everything surreal that’s happening could pass for snippets of a movie. If only the pandemic was just a movie, so we can fast-forward the scenes, pack up and live safely ever after.

They’re both sitcoms about groups of people who are very different from one another, and even if they sometimes fight, they always end up staying loyal to each other. No matter how weird or quirky they are, they stay true to themselves and support each other.

“Surviving R. Kelly” and “Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich” were eye-openers. They moved, shocked and made me feel disconsolate. Ultimately, they teach us and make us realize that power, influence and money can easily be abused. I would recommend them to other adults, especially women, and definitely warn children and young adults from watching them.

I really enjoyed the documentary, “The Greatest Events of WWII in Colour.” It was phenomenal to watch the actual footage that was digitally remastered, allowing us to see so many brave men and women enduring insurmountable events in our history. Remembering my great great grandfather who served in the US military and who also fought in the Great War. Absolutely humbling.

Nat Geo’s “Nobel Peace Prize Shorts,” a short film showcase on YouTube has been great and very informative. It taught me the purpose of breaking barriers of human kindness, force and intelligence, and how they change the world. It’s beautiful to watch.
