Though she could not have a birthday party during the quarantine, Rochelle Pangilinan was still able to see her loved ones while safe at home.
Husband Arthur Solinap helped organize their friends to greet Pangilinan by driving past their home, as seen in the couple’s vlog yesterday, May 26. Pangilinan’s birthday was last May 23.
The former SexBomb dancer was overwhelmed as cars with balloons, banners and gifts drove by and she was greeted happy birthday.
“Ang galing, ang galing (So good, so good),” a surprised Pangilinan uttered repeatedly.
She also expressed appreciation at seeing friends in person after a long time. “Nung nakita ko ang mukha nila, kahit malayo, naiyak ako. Namiss ko ang mukha nila (When I saw their faces, even from afar, it made me cry. I missed their faces),” she said.
Solinap said he was thinking of a surprise and felt that video greetings were too common during the quarantine period. It was one of their friends, a Miss Hazel, who suggested having the drive-by.
He said initially visitors were not allowed in their village, but when he learned that they were allowed, the drive-by pushed through.
The actress also celebrated her birthday by making delicious meals such as pasta and a cake for her family, which includes the couple’s 1-year-old daughter, Shiloh. /ra
