Glaiza and British bf dedicate original song to front-liners

Different people have diffe­rent ways of coping with adversities.

And in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Glaiza de Castro turns to music for comfort and uses it as a tool to inspire others.

In a recent Instagram vi­deo, the actress—together with her British boyfriend, David Rainey—performed an original song that she composed while in quarantine in Baler, Aurora.

Titled “Ode to the New Heroes,” the composition is a tribute to the bravery of every wor­ker on the front line.  “When all of this is over / And we finally won the fight / We will all stand up together / And see what it’s like,” part of the song goes.

“David and I tried to make a song with our front-liners in mind,” the Kapuso actress related.

“But it took a little while to convince him to sing with me on this video as he’s still a bit shy,” she added.

Paying tribute to front-­liners is the least they could offer, she said. “We all have different ways to cope, help and support. And we hope we were able to share positivity amidst uncertainty through this,” Glaiza said.
