Dingdong Dantes auctioned off some of his pre-loved items to help raise funds for a charity amid the spread of the coronavirus in the Philippines.

The actor put the items up for bidding as part of a fundraising initiative by Drew Arellano called “Drew’s Closet.” Dantes and Arellano sold the former’s pre-loved belongings such as motorcycle gear during a livestream on the “Life with the Arellanos” Facebook page yesterday, May 5.

The first item Dantes auctioned off were two trucker caps, which he had customized for the baptism of his son Sixto, whom they also call Ziggy, last July. He said the design also paid tribute to his grandfather, who was named Sixto as well.

Dantes also sold two helmets, a leather bag and a two-piece leather motorcycle suit, which the actor used while undergoing training with the California Superbike School in Clark, Pampanga, two years ago.

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Andrew’s Fund PH, Caritas Manila, Magna Anima Teachers College, YES Pinoy and the Diocese of Antipolo, among others. Prior to Dantes, Arellano and Jericho Rosales also sold their pre-loved items to benefit two different charities amid the current COVID-19 pandemic.  /ra
