It’s been a long time since Moira dela Torre began making heads turn with her soothing and “very personal” sound—from her earworm covers of “Sundo” and “Torete” to the intimate music she began churning out since becoming one of OPM’s “most streamed” singer-songwriters.

It’s been a long time since Moira dela Torre began making heads turn with her soothing and “very personal” sound—from her earworm covers of “Sundo” and “Torete” to the intimate music she began churning out since becoming one of OPM’s “most streamed” singer-songwriters. But Moira had to learn to “cope” when she reached another milestone in January last year: On Jan. 14, she married singer Jason Hernandez.

Married life

After one year and four months with Jason, how has married life been treating Moira? “I love it,” the songstress, the product of a broken family, told us beaming. “Jason is great! I never really had a solid home [before this], because when I was with my mom, I’d think of my dad. And when I was with my dad, I’d think of my mom. Lagi akong hati. “So, when I got married, I mentioned in my wedding vows how grateful I was to have my very own home. I mean, I still think about them [my parents], but it feels great to have something I can truly call my own.

“My husband is such a great guy—he loves God and he loves me. We fight a lot, but Jason also makes me laugh … so much! We don’t know half the things we’re doing and we’re happy trying to figure them out together.”
