Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres have not slowed down their romance, even in quarantine.
The couple and daughter Juliana spent their 22nd wedding anniversary yesterday, April 28, planting a tree in Leyte, where they are currently based. Gomez is mayor of Ormoc City, while Torres is the House representative of the 4th district of Leyte.
“Today, we marked our 22nd anniversary by planting a beautiful Dita tree,” said Gomez on Instagram yesterday.
“It is an evergreen, just like my love for you @lucytgomez. Thank you for being my guiding light.”
Torres, meanwhile, shared a video of their wedding edited by sought-after videographer Jason Magbanua using footage from their televised ceremony.
“Thank you for 22, my @richardgomezinstagram. You enter a room and you just bring the sunshine in,” Torres said, addressing her husband. “With you, everything is just better. Know that you are my love song, every bit of that magic I ever believed in.”
The celebrity couple first met at a shoot for a shampoo commercial in 1993. However, Gomez only showed a commitment to court her in 1997, Torres told Marie Claire in 2009. After months of dating, they wed in 1998. /ra
