Coronavirus survivor Christopher de Leon donates plasma to help patients

MANILA, Philippines — Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) survivor, actor Christopher de Leon, on Tuesday donated his blood plasma to the St. Luke’s Medical Center-Global City in Taguig to help patients still battling the viral disease.

De Leon’s wife, actress Sandy Andolong, shared her husband’s good deed in an Instagram post.

“Done! Hubby donated his plasma this afternoon,” Andolong said. “Thank you to all the doctors & staff of St. Luke’s Global for your help & assistance.”

The veteran actor previously contracted the disease last March. He later tested negative for the coronavirus the following month.

As of Tuesday, there are 7,958 COVID-19 patients in the Philippines, of which 975 managed to recover while 530 have died.
