Winwyn Marquez clapped back at criticism of her weight after she was told off for having big muscles.

“Tumaba ka, ang lalaki ng mga muscles,” one Instagram user (@si_bebe_ni) commented on the beauty queen’s post on Saturday, April 25. “Maganda ‘yong katawan mo dati ‘yong nanalo ka as [queen].”

“Well I like my muscles and if mataba yan for you search mo words na fit and healthy sa Google,” she replied to the body-shaming comment.

“I don’t need to adjust dahil mas gusto mo yung katawan ko dati (because you liked my body better before),” she said, and advised, “Work out ka din (You should also work out) regularly.”

When she announced that she finished a 30-day fitness challenge yesterday, April 26, Marquez declared, “Fat and Thin are not the only words to describe someone. Try adding FIT, STRONG and HEALTHY to your vocabulary.”

Wearing a sports bra and workout leggings, she flaunted her flat abs and toned arms, crediting her figure to her coach “who made sure that fitness will not be [canceled] during this ECQ (enhanced community quarantine).”

The first Filipino to win the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant in 2017, Marquez shows her passion for fitness through workout videos on her Instagram page.

She and her brother Yeoj, whose parents are actor-politicians Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno, won a Crossfit competition together last February. JB
