Daniel Padilla celebrated his 25th birthday yesterday, April 26, with his family in the safety of their home, in light of the enhanced community quarantine.

Padilla’s mother, Karla Estrada, posted moments from the intimate gathering on her Instagram page on the same day.

“Maligayang kaarawan anak (Happy birthday, son)!” she said.

Estrada also joked that she was not able to stream the live online concert of Regine Velasquez since she and her family waited for Padilla’s birthday. The actress-TV host said she will watch Velasquez’s performance on YouTube instead.

“[Ganoon] pa man ay nairaos [natin] ng maligaya at matiwasay ang [birthday] salubong mo anak, kasama ang isang masaya at malaking angkan na meron tayo,” Estrada added.

(Despite this, we were able to happily and safely pull off your birthday celebration, son, together with the one happy and big clan that we have.)

Addressing Padilla, Estrada said, “[Y]ou are a Blessing to all of us. [Y]ou are a gift from heaven and our biggest joy. You’re the first boy who stole my teenage heart.”

“No matter where you go, no matter how old you are… [y]ou will always be my loving [s]on,” she assured him. “My [h]ero and [m]y [s]uperstar.”

Padilla’s younger sister Magui Ford Planas also posted photos and clips from the celebration on her own page, along with a greeting for him.

“Maligayang kaarawan sa kaisa-isang lolo ng bahay (Happy birthday to the one and only grandfather of the house),” she said.

“Thank you for being the sweetest, kindest, most annoying, and weirdest kuya (older brother),” Magui added. “You deserve all the love the world could give.” JB
