A day before their wedding anniversary, Ryan Agoncillo looked back on the beginnings of his love story with wife Judy Ann Santos, particularly when they first met.
The actor recalled the day he went to the studio of fashion photographer Raymund Isaac in an Instagram post today, April 27.
Along with the memory were pictures taken from that fateful day — the actor’s test shots and Santos’s magazine cover from 2001.
“It was early in the afternoon and work finished early that day. I don’t remember where exactly I was headed after, but for sure though, I was in no particular hurry,” he began his post addressed to their son Lucho.
He said he took some test shots in Isaac’s studio “with the set up for the next photo shoot.”
Shortly after, he would encounter his future wife for the first time: “As I was making my way out, helmet and stuff in hand, I saw her being made up, in the far end of the studio.”
“I stopped, waved, and then, I said, ‘HI!’” he said. “The moment the word left my lips, our eyes locked in the mirror.”
However, the moment of connection came with a sudden realization: “SH@T, di nga pala kami magkakilala (Sh*t, we don’t know each other)!”
“I smiled, and ran to the nearest exit,” Agoncillo said. “That is how I met your mother, bud.”
“I remember that day in full HD my love,” Santos replied to the post.
After that simple “hi,” Agoncillo and Santos would work together on the fantasy series “Krystala”, which aired from October 2004 to April 2005. It was also where romance would bloom between them.
The couple wed on April 28, 2009 in Batangas and have three kids together. JB
