While some people are separated from their loved ones during the quarantine brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, actors and real-life couple Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia came up with a new way to be reminded of each other while they are apart.
With the help of the video conferencing app Zoom, Ramos captured Garcia posing in the unlikeliest of places and joining him in mundane activities at home, as seen on their respective Instagram accounts yesterday, April 22.
“So since @khalilramos and I are apart for the lockdown, we thought of something we could do to exercise our creativity at home!” she said.
The actress also encouraged their followers to tag them if they decide to make their own quarantine photos.
For the couple’s “lockdown series,” Ramos stood behind the lens and used a tablet computer to show Garcia in different scenarios. In one photo, Garcia was virtually able to enjoy a cool beverage in what appears to be an outdoor garden.
Garcia appeared to beat the summer heat by being placed around frozen goods. Despite not being able to go to the beach, the actress appeared as if she is getting some splash of water in what seems to be the shower.
Ramos also showed one of his works which he called “Touching hands” via his Instagram account on the same day. Ramos’s project shows six hands holding up the tablet, displaying Garcia as she posed with her hands held dramatically.
To help with the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the celebrity couple also spearheaded a fundraiser for hospital workers in Ospital ng Parañaque and Pasay City General Hospital. The couple provided food, PPE and other necessities to their chosen beneficiaries through their initiative #PayItForward. JB
