Teen actress Andrea Brillantes became the latest addition to the growing number of stars who are helping health workers by sending them their much-needed personal protective equipment (PPE) while they fight COVID-19.

Brillanntes sent out PPE to the medical staff of Philippine General Hospital, as seen on her Instagram post yesterday, April 20. The “Kadenang Ginto” star also gave out care kits courtesy of a local beauty brand.

Brillantes showed her fans and followers some of the boxes of care kits, together with the bags of PPE. The actress also expressed her appreciation to frontline workers through her post.

“Thank you to all frontliners out there who continue to fight for all of us in this pandemic, ” Brillantes said.

Other Filipino actors are likewise doing their part in addressing the shortage of PPE at hospitals, such as KC Concepcion. The actress sent out sets of PPE at two hospitals in Metro Manila last week, namely Perpetual Help Medical Center in Las Piñas and Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City.

Real-life couple Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia also raised funds to purchase PPE, food and other necessities for their chosen hospital beneficiaries in Parañaque and Pasay City. JB
