LOOK: Gerald Anderson helps PH Coast Guard in building quarantine facility

Gerald Anderson is lending a hand to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) to put up an emergency quarantine facility in a hospital that handles COVID-19 patients.

The actor posted on Instagram yesterday, April 13, pictures of the facility being built at the Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital in Caloocan city, a novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) referral hospital.

The facility is meant to temporarily house COVID-19 patients and persons under investigation as hospitals face overcrowding during the pandemic.

In an update today, Anderson showed on Instagram Stories the foundation of the facility coming into place.

He shared last Saturday, April 11, that the PCG brought the materials to the hospital prior to construction. Anderson thanked fellow actors Arci Muñoz, Sue Ramirez, Rayver Cruz and Jake Cuenca and director Ruel Bayani for helping in the project.

The actor became an auxiliary officer of the PCG in 2016 and is also an army reservist.  /ra
