British singer Harry Styles has joined the large number of celebrities demonstrating their commitment to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic with the launch of a T-shirt.
Not only has the former member of One Direction sent out a strong message that invites everyone to respect social-distancing rules, he is also hoping to maximize the financial contribution made by his initiative; all of the proceeds from the sale of the T-shirt will go to support vulnerable people and workers battling the global health crisis.
Featuring such names as Kylie Jenner, Lady Gaga and Rihanna, the list of celebrities engaged in the fight against COVID-19 is growing longer by the day. Now Harry Styles has rallied to the cause with the launch of a T-shirt with a social-distancing message to raise money for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund (Covid19responsefund.org).
The British singer is offering a simple sober T-shirt in black and white with no frills or embellishments. On the front, it presents the message: “Stay Home. Stay Safe. Protect Each Other.” Positioned high on the back, a second inscription says, “This T-shirt fights COVID-19 – Treat people with kindness.”
Retailing for $26 (around P1,300), the T-shirt is available from the online store devoted to the British artist (Shopus.hstyles.co.uk). All proceeds will be donated to the Solidarity Response Fund to help vulnerable populations and healthcare workers in the front line in the fight against the disease. RGA
