Max wants water birth for baby boy
Max Collins and Pancho Magno are having a boy.
The couple made the announcement on their recently published YouTube vlog, documenting the gender reveal party they hosted in Melbourne, Australia, earlier this year.
Surrounded by their cheering family, Max and Pancho jumped for joy and hugged each other after popping a black balloon filled with blue confetti.
“We promise to love you and take care of you,” Pancho told his unborn baby.
In a video chat with GMA 7, the two actors’ home network, Max related that her husband initially wanted to have a girl. “If she were a girl, maybe she could have ended up a daddy’s girl. But, of course, we’re happy, regardless of the gender, as long as the baby’s healthy,” she said.

And because pregnant women are considered high-risk individuals, Max is also discouraged from going outside.

I want to have a water birth, so I’m looking for a minipool,” she said. “I never thought it would come to this. But I think that this is probably the safest way.”
Whether that happens depends on a lot of factors. “But I’m 100-percent sure about home birth. I still have to check if the position of the baby will allow me to do that. And I have been talking to my doctor about it,” said the actress, who tied the knot with Pancho in December 2017.
Aside from the usual precautionary measures, Max makes it a point to work out to keep herself healthy. “You need to. How will I be able to give birth naturally if my body isn’t in good shape? So, that’s what I’m preparing for,” Max said. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
