Recently wed actors Megan Young and Mikael Daez made face shields at home for frontliners battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
The former Miss World showed some behind-the-scenes moments of making the DIY masks on her Instagram Stories, yesterday, April 1. Young and Daez were also assisted by the actor’s siblings.
“Testing it out!” Young said. “Don’t worry, these will be sanitized before they will be handed out.”
Daez also posted photos of the finished face shields, ready to be distributed, via his Instagram Stories.
“Made some face shields for out frontliners,” he said. “Hoping it helps even just a little bit.”
Meanwhile, Young revealed that since she and her husband got married last January, they have been living with Daez’s three brothers. The actress also narrated how they have been handling the enhanced community quarantine at home.
“We’ve been coping with the lockdown in our own ways but we are very thankful that we have each other – we keep each other in check, call each other out (for the good and the bad), talk when we need it the most or even when we want to share funny stories,” she said.
Similar to Young and Daez, more celebrities have also lent a helping hand to frontliners during the health crisis. This week, actor Jake Cuenca and former beauty queen Kylie Verzosa donated food to different hospitals in Metro Manila. Meanwhile, actress Neri Naig used her talent fee from product endorsements to send out PPEs. JB
