Sam Milby assured his fans he is healthy and shows no symptoms of COVID-19, after his “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” co-star Iza Calzado tested positive for the disease.
The actress’s manager Noel Ferrer disclosed her test results yesterday, March 28. She was initially admitted to a hospital due to pneumonia.
Following the announcement, Milby boosted his co-star’s spirits by dedicating an Instagram post to her yesterday. The post featured a photo of the actress accompanied by the Bible verse Jeremiah 17:14 and hashtags calling for prayers for her. He also included a picture of them on set.
“With so much happening around the world and in our nation right now, I know so many of us are fighting this seemingly overwhelming battle with prayer,” Milby said.
“Also thank you to everyone who has expressed concern for my health,” he added. “I understand some articles have come out questioning my well-being but I’m healthy with no symptoms, nasa bahay lang (I am just at home) doing self-quarantine.”
He then urged his fans to continue praying for Calzado, those who also tested positive for COVID-19, their families and the health workers braving the pandemic.
The two actors are set to star in the upcoming TV drama “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” alongside Jodi Sta. Maria and Maricel Soriano. JB
