MANILA, Philippines — Sarah Lahbati sent out Sunday the first batch of food and supplies gathered through her fundraising effort along with her husband Richard Gutierrez’s family.

The goods are directed to COVID-19 frontliners, particularly health workers, and police and military personnel, as well as PUV drivers affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

The actress shared on Instagram pictures of the donations which included sacks of rice and boxes of all-purpose cleaning sanitizers for hospitals, canned goods for drivers and milk.

“Waiting for medical supplies and more food to arrive hopefully soon so we can ship to more hospitals and people in need,” she said.

“Good job my love, proud of you,” her husband commented on Instagram.

Lahbati is working with model Mikaela Martinez on the charity drive, and shared Martinez’s Instagram Story stating that they intend to deliver donations to tricycle drivers from BF Homes Parañaque who have no income.
