LOOK: Jinri Park weds in simple ceremony in Australia amid COVID-19

“Pinoy Big Brother” alum Jinri Park tied the knot with her non-showbiz partner in a simple ceremony in Australia amid the global spread of COVID-19.

The couple opted for a more intimate ceremony after postponing their original event with family and friends due to the coronavirus, she said in her Instagram post yesterday March 21.

“We still went to the church to legally [sign] the registry and got married,” the newlywed bride explained.

While her family and the rest of their friends were not present, the family of her husband, John, was able to witness their marriage.

Park wore a simple knee-length, sleeveless white dress while John opted for a light blue long-sleeved polo paired with gray jeans and a black bowtie. However, Park is still excited to celebrate her marriage in a bigger gathering with loved ones.

“I can’t wait till the virus dies down so I can wear my wedding dress and have my dad walk down the aisle,” she said before wishing others are safe and happy amid the pandemic.

Park revealed her engagement and relationship with John in a vlog post in July 2019. The two met in Sydney through mutual friends, when he served as her tour guide during her visit to the city. She has since kept his identity low-key on her social media accounts, only calling him John and saying that he is a Filipino raised in Australia.

Aside from Park and John, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez also decided to push through with their wedding on March 14 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. JB
