Celebrity couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom will be putting their Japan wedding on hold due to the global outbreak of COVID-19.

The couple was supposed to tie the knot early this summer, but has postponed it as the novel coronavirus, which originated in China, continues to spread around the world.

“It was all set for Japan with 150 guests. Katy was actually really excited about walking down the aisle pregnant,” a source close to the couple told People in an exclusive interview released on March 5.

“They were both so elated that all the wedding details were finally coming together, but they are hitting pause because of coronavirus,” the source added.

News of their big day being moved comes shortly after the American pop star revealed that she is pregnant through her music video of “Never Worn White,” where she proudly showed off her baby bump.

The couple has been engaged for over a year now as the “Lord of the Rings” actor proposed to Perry on Valentine’s Day last year.

Japan has 488 recorded COVID-19 cases, while nine people have died as of yesterday, March 9, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, at least 109,946 people have contracted the disease, while 3,819 people have died as of this writing. Ian Biong/ra
